2026–2027 COACH PAY SCALE
We want great coaches to stick around, and we want to reward the coaches who make Swim Farm a regular part of their schedule.
All certified coaches earn an hourly rate based on their coaching level and how frequently they coach each month. There is no minimum number of practices you have to work. We send out a scheduling poll every two weeks, you tell us when you're available, and your schedule can change throughout the season.
Coaches who work more frequently move into higher pay tiers for that month. The more consistently you're on deck, the higher your hourly rate.
You don't have to coach all the time to work here. But if you do, we think you should be paid accordingly.
COACH PAY SCALE
Your coaching level establishes your baseline practice rate. Monthly pay tiers reward coaches who make Swim Farm a larger part of their schedule.
The rates below are used to calculate your pay based on the scheduled length of each practice. A 60-minute practice pays 1× your listed rate, a 90-minute practice pays 1.5× your listed rate, and a two-hour practice pays 2× your listed rate.
Practice pay includes the expected time immediately before and after the scheduled pool time, including approximately 10 minutes before practice and 10 minutes after practice for preparation, communication, and wrap-up.
How Your Pay Tier Is Calculated
Your monthly tier is based on the percentage of Swim Farm practices you coach that month compared with the practices you are qualified and eligible to coach. Coaches are not measured against programs or practice groups they are not approved to coach.
This means coaches who make Swim Farm a larger part of their schedule can earn a higher practice rate. Your tier is recalculated each month, so your practice rate may increase or decrease as your participation changes.
Baseline Rates + Monthly Adjustments
The rates above are baseline practice rates based on coaching level, certifications, and monthly participation. Swim Farm may approve a higher starting placement when a coach's experience, coaching ability, qualifications, or prior performance warrant it.
A higher pay tier may also be awarded during an individual month for exceptional coaching quality, reliability, leadership, covering for a coach who cancels, taking on additional responsibilities, helping with difficult-to-fill practices, or other program needs.
These adjustments allow Swim Farm to recognize coaches who go above and beyond while keeping the regular participation tiers meaningful.
